Late Season Snow & Freezing Temperatures

Due to the late season snow that is in the forecast, and the temperatures dipping down into the mid/low 20’s, the decision has been made to shut down the irrigation systems, and drain the exposed pipes.  This is being done as a precaution, to avoid the possibility of frozen pipes.  Sun & Shade will be through the community today and tomorrow, to shut down all of the irrigation systems prior to the freezing temperatures that are expected Friday and Saturday night.  The systems will be re-charged again next week.

It appears that Longmont is not currently expected to receive a large amount of snowfall, therefore what snow does fall should melt fairly quickly.  We will monitor the accumulations throughout the weekend, and in the event of accumulations higher than expected, snow removal crews will be scheduled.   Updates will be provided, if snow crews are called out.
