Tree Work to begin today

In a continuing effort to properly maintain the street trees throughout the community, pruning, crown thinning, and the removal of a few dead trees has been approved by the HOA Board.  We have been notified by the tree contractor that their schedule has opened up, and they will begin the tree pruning later today.

St Vrain Arbor Care crews will be in the community beginning later today, and will continue to work over the coming days.  The majority of the work will be completed on the trees that line the streets, and will include the raising of tree limbs to satisfy the city clearance requirement of 13′ above roadways, and 8′ above walkways.  Additionally, certain trees will be crown thinned, which is the selective removal of branches to increase light penetration and air movement and/or to reduce weight and stress on branches.  This work is being performed to improve the overall structure of the trees, and prevent catastrophic limb damage as a result of snow loads.
